לֶפֶס

לֶפֶסc. (לפס, cmp. לפף) a tightly covered pot, stew-pot, v. אִלְפֵּס. Y. Ḥag.II, 77d top (read:) כל׳ הזה וכיסויו, v. אִלְפֵּס. Y.Shebi.VI, end, 37a ל׳ אחד של ירק a stew of vegetables. Peah VIII, 4 מלִפְסוֹ out of his stew. Y.Ned.VI, beg.39c היורד לל׳ a dish prepared in the stew-pot; (Bab. ib. 51a היורד לאילפס; Tosef. ib. III, 2 הנעשין באילפס).
